Analysis of the Abalakov jump using a dynamographic platform in Cuban male volleyball players

Abstract

The assimilation of training loads is reflected in an athlete in different ways and at different times, making it feasible to monitor and evaluate them at various stages of training. This load in volleyball can be monitored through various tests for lower extremity strength. Along with applied technology, this provides a variety of data that contributes to the pedagogical control of the athlete's specialized physical preparation for the coach. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the level of influence that studying the Bosco test in the Abalakov jump variation has on the potential growth of the lower extremities during a training process. With this premise in mind, a study was conducted in 2022 with 16 top-class male volleyball athletes from Havana using a Dynamographic platform. For this test, a (specific) warm-up protocol was applied, along with a readjustment of the planning in the preceding microcycle, in order to achieve greater likelihood of physical discharge for the players before the test. Descriptive statistics were applied to the data obtained, reflected in tables, supported by a multiple correlation of the variables resulting from the Abalakov jump.
