Abstract

In this study, we sought to analyze the scientific literature related to "Sports Education 4.0", focusing on the technological innovations that will shape the future of training. To do this, we used the PRISMA methodology to clarify the research consulted, which began with a total of 95 sources and, after applying the exclusion and inclusion criteria, 26 sources remained that served as the basis for the literature analysis. The Scopus database (Elsevier) was consulted, along with the Google Scholar search engine and university repositories to collect relevant articles published between 2014 and 2024, that is, a period of 10 years. The search strategy used words related to the research topic, key terms such as "Sports Education 4.0", "technological innovation in sport", "sports training technology", "artificial intelligence in sport", "virtual reality training", combining them with Boolean operators (AND, OR). It was finally evident that there has been a technological advancement in tools that facilitate the learning and training of athletes, which are also easy to use and efficient. There is talk of the use of mobile applications, big data, IoT, Augmented Reality, among other tools that together have advanced education toward what is known as Sports Education 4.0.
